    i find about 80% of winter stays around -18 to -22 here, then we have our 3 weeks at -32ish, and in the middle of those 3 weeks we have about 3 days where she drops to -45 and lower.

    Shes a cruel mistress

    Save but don't buy now. I wouldn't worry about buying unless you are planning on being single for the next 10 years or so. If you buy now and meet someone who knows where that could lead you and if you have no equity in the house, you are screwed.

My mortgage is about 600 a month with my roommate paying 400 a month. If you do end up buying a place, find a roommate you trust and you can count on.
