Agreed. When I found that out I considered not buying another Tacoma.

HOWEVER, the state of Oregon does not have sales tax, and after crunching the numbers, it would be worth it for me to buy a Tacoma that I want up there and drive it down to Houston. Besides, it would be a nice visit to a state that I've never been to before and a fun road trip home.

 

I just thought it would be easier to ask.
Maybe some of you have that particular model, perhaps you can provide me with more of a real time price of how much u bought it for at the dealer.

just put in another zip code if that what holds you up. price is not going to change much across the country.

why do they suck? sreious question. don't most dealerships? i got lucky when i got my truck and found a down to earth salesman, but that's rare.

 

Except that Gulf States only orders their vehicles certain ways; making you pay for shit you don't necessarily want/need. (eg. When I got my truck I had to get the towing package b/c they didn't ship any TRDs to our area w/o the towing package) I also did not want the "shield package" ($350 bottle of fabric protectant), so they had to 'intercept' one at the port before that was installed for me...

I'm not trying to argue with you, I just hate the way they only let you buy what they think you want to buy.

I'm fortunate in the fact that the dealer is a family friend so they always shoot straight with me. They have some weird allocations and you can only order things the way they build them. It's almost impossible to find SR5's because they throw all the TSS and other crap on there and then jack the price up
