It sounds bout right for a new driver. Should try putting the truck under your parents names and you as a driver. See how much that is compared to just you on the truck

Or if you have a second vehicle. You can put the truck as a recreational vehicle and pay less. Just tell them the truck is your weekend truck

You're 20 years old with "only" two or three years of driving experience, so $200 sounds about right. Most people at 20 have been driving for at least four years and until you're 25, insurance companies has decreed the American male driver to be wallet-raped by extremely high premiums. Sucks, but until you're 25 that's the way it is.

    Yeah? Your point?

He asked what others were paying. I didn't post it to show that I pay less, obviously I know a newer vehicle will cost more on insurance.

24 years old, no speeding tickets, no accidents.
I pay $475 every 6 months (about $80 a month) through USAA, with no association to my parents policy. I do not have full coverage however.

if you don't have a very far daily commute to work, tell them so, and they may help you out. Even though i drive a lot on the weekends for recreational purposes, I got $40 off of my 6 month rate when i told them i only lived a mile from work.
