    It's about one hour away but you can always paddle Armand/Horsepen Bayou and Big Island Slough down here in Clear Lake. Lots of small waterway branches and very scenic... especially if you like wild animals.

    hmm, i'll have to check that out a little more. the last two days, the flood gates at GB forrest have been pretty open, creating a decent flow. any idea how long it takes to reach your place from anthills? you should find a kayak and join the fun!

    I've done the regatta before and made it from Voss to downtown in an hour and a half. I'm guessing the trip from the anthills to downtown will add an hour to an hour and a half to the trip. You're looking at over 30 miles on the water.
