if you're going to use it for going fast, it's going to be on too stiff of a settnig for crawling. depending on the version, disconnecting a pin, can be easier than undoing nuts and bolts to move the rod further in and out on the lever arm.

the guys that crawl with them have them on the weaker of the settings.

 

You will want to avoid showing her how great the traffic in Houston is.
