Pretty sweet vid. I watched it a couple of times.

 

I like that they probably add some reinforcement... but I probably would not have ordered them this way. That said they look nice.

 

Oh.... the irony.

Doubt it. If they were to bend it would be the legs, or the frame.

Edit: At least sufficient to bend the tubing...maybe...but if there were, then...

 

those plates don't add any strength. makes for a nice step, keeps some tire spray off of the doors, and they look good.

My Fiance's little cousin wishes I had fillers. about a year ago (he's a short 12 year old) he was trying to get into my truck in FL. I heard a nice solid clunk, quickly followed by a yelp. we look over and he's got one leg on either side of the slider tube......and his feet are not touching the ground. poor kid will never reproduce. filler plates would have saved him lol.

 

i'm filing a lawsuit on his behalf.
