    Very nice. Wife and I took the kids to Canyon Lake the week of the 4th. We stayed at the Joint Base SA Recreation Area. Didn't spend much time in the lake though. We did Schlitterbahn.

    Last time I was there about 2 years ago. But in March. We rented a kayak from Austin Kayaks and were the only fools on the water. And I was even more so a fool to get IN the water and go swimming.

    I saw they have a marina, but didn't make it there last time. What's the docking fees? Think they'll top off my watercraft with premium petrol while I go get a burger?

    The boat rentals for military are cheap. But...they make you watch a 2 hour safety video before you can rent any boat. Needless to say, we didn't rent a boat like I had originally planned.
