If the deal sounds to good, it probably is. Tell the seller to give the money to the movers so they can pay you and see what he says.
Also don't deposit or cash any checks against your bank account from this deal.

I use to buy cars and resale them back on Craigslist. That's the first scam and probably the oldest! You take that check to your bank. It "clears" then you ship whatever out to them. Well now the bank noticed they fucked up. And you have to pay it all back. Now you're out of money and out of rims.

They can still dispute it with their bank or place a stop pay on it. They could even say their check book was stolen.
As others have said, this is a very common scam and run away.

99 percent of the time, the person isn't from where they said they are. Just a group of guys in one room with 10 computers from Nigeria.

Is there a Houston or Texas specific FS thread? I've got a few items on the wishlist that I'd prefer to pick up locally. Trying to avoid sending money without inspecting the goods first.

Throw them in the back of your truck and go find a used tire shop that sells rims. I'm sure they might buy it. If not just go to the ghetto, park, go eat, by the time your done. Someone would have taken them off your hands lol

I think you can still dispute the payments. Especially if linked to a credit card.
