So I've been out of the modifying scene for a few years so question: When I was a little squirt with no money and a Honda we would have these "working on our vehicle" get togethers. It was usually at the person's house that have the most knowledge/tools. We would usually have a semi major project and maybe a small one where everyone would pitch it and work to get the job done in one day or weekend. Usually it was the responsibility of the the biggest project's responsibility to pay for or bring all the food and beer. Or pick up the check at a restaurant. The bigger projects were usually things like motor swaps, dynamatting the whole car, or doing body work. (Basically pain in the ass type stuff). While the smaller ones were like, suspension work, installing a stereo system, or basic maintenance.

Do you guys do these types of things or does all this sound bonkers? Just checking to see if things are the same as they were 15 years ago. I'm not asking because I have any work I want/need done. Just surveying to see if it was just my friends and I who did things like that or if this is the norm.
