    LincolnLocker,,, nice!

Rich, you could always invest in lockers then get some straps/chains along with a hi-lift and a come-along, until you can decide if you want to invest in a winch. Manual winch FTW :p

You can replace a winch with manual methods, but tougher to replace a good locker.

If all fails. I'm all for the manual winch. But mike did it once and.....it took forever! Wasn't like we didn't have trucks there to pull him out. He just felt like doing it

Have you tried some junkyards to see if you can't find a good replacement before you start removing metal? Not sure if finding/getting to a junkyard is any easier, but that way you can get the flywheel first and do an R&R, instead of remove, fly to resurface place, fly back, install.

No doubt it's a longer more drawn out process, (click at a time, as opposed to hit a button) but if I only had funds for one, plus a bit, I could add the capability for both.

Nuther downside is adding the weight for the winch to carry around all the time,,, for those few times you use it. If you wheel hard and often, good investment, it not, gets closer to just mall-crawler bling.
