911 isn't ugly, even the 996 911 is beautiful and that is considered to be the bastard of the generations by enthusiasts.
    RWB for LIFE!
Nakai-san was in Houston when he built another RWB creation.

It's not supposed to be a supercar. It's the sports car that does everything well. Comfortable, nimble, and quick. The kind of car you can go to work in on the weekdays and then track on the weekends.

That car is the reason why other icons (corvette) stepped their game up.

Nakai-san's Stella Artois is a 3.8L NA motor. It is a work of art. Each car he does for a customer is designed by hand after meeting the customer. He is an artist that chooses the lines, the way the car sits, the color, and the name of the car after hanging out with the owner of the car for some time.

He was here in Houston, he stayed at a friends place while doing a car here. My friend also has an older 911 but it isn't air cooled. It is a C2 with a twin turbo kit and has a widebody kit on it also.

I'm saying that people would choose the challenger, corvette or the like to get noticed. If you want pure driving bliss then the 911 is one car that fits that task nicely. Clarkson changed his tune in 2008 after driving the 997 911 turbo.

Why I love Porsche, little things like the key mounted to the left of the steering wheel. Spin during a lap on a track and you can put the car in gear with one hand and start it with the other. Allowing you to get out of a dangerous situation or back on track faster. All the race cars way back were that way, left hand key on, right hand into first, while putting left hand on wheel, putcrew is pushing already, pop clutch and off you go.

My ideal 911 would be one from each generation. If I can't have that then a 997 GT3 RS 4.0.

I'm not a car snob, I just like great engineering and cars that can do a multitude of things. Like right now I am thinking of straight line speed on a budget in a car that has all the creature comforts and modern amenities. So with a budget of 30Gs I can pick up a 2011 5.0 GT and add a procharger, boss intake, fuel system, full exhaust, clutch, SCT tuned by Wally, and lay down upwards of 700WHP on E85. Or I can get an SL55 and add headers, exhaust, intake, CM30 pump, ice water tank for the intercooler, pulley, tune and run trap speeds of ~130mph on drag radials. Both of which will have AC, Xenon headlights, power everything, and the Merc will have navi, heated/cooled seats/massaging seats/power operated convertible hardtop, etc, etc. Two totally different cars to accomplish the same thing I have in mind. Since I like to own things not a lot of others have I would probably be swayed towards the Merc and after driving both definately the Merc. I could do it now, but financially it would be best to wait a couple years, so that's what I intend to do, by then I might be able to get something nicer.

    Me too!

So here is an update, figured out what happened. Black car (unknown make/model) without their headlights on driving down the highway (70mph speed limit) at 2:00am crosses over and hits my brothers front driver side head on killing the driver instantly and sending my brother to the hospital. WTF is wrong with people.

Looking at my next mod. Thinking about some LT headers and y pipe. Here's my sticking point.

I know with the LT headers you get rid of the front 2 cats but will I still pass inspection with the rear 2 only?
