That's not entirely true. Texas has some of the most equal parenting rights in the country.

Believe me, I've read the entire family code over that last couple of weeks.

If you want to stay out of court you'll both have to go through mediation. Whatever you both agree on will be signed by the judge provided the child's interests are being met.

I just went through this yesterday.

 

Also, a word to the wise. I would severely limit what you post on this forum, or any other, about your relationship with her. Everything you type is going to be pulled by her lawyer, if she gets one, and will be submitted as evidence if it goes to court.

Personally, I wouldn't say a damn thing on this forum unless it's truck related. To include when you're drinking, spending money, etc.

Be careful... Be very, very careful...

 

That especially goes for Facebook!

 

This. Especially any other social media. It's an easy paper trail for if you say and admit the wrong thing.
