Either one should get you 0-60 - 70 pretty quick and keep you there without much trouble unless really steep incline.

Came for the DS photos. Not from Houston haha

That CB500X is a solid commuter and weekend warrior! I wasn't impressed with the fit and finish compared to my Yamis but overall a solid bike. Ended up not buying last year, but still in the market if the right price on a lightly used model comes along :D

All valid points chief. Dont think that 40 degrees and 40 miles is not going to turn you into an breathing ice cube. Very much depends on the bike. No wind protection on your body and hands will suck the heat right out of you when you have a 60 mph wind blowing up your skirt. Hands and feet will get you. :D. Besides, all you texas types are cold wimps arent you?

Btw, saw some posts on bike size, and you need to watch out for the engine type to understand how well it will do on the highway. Thumpers are low end torquey, v twins also tend to be torquey, but run out of high end hp. The straight 4s and v4s tend to be more high end hp engines. A 750 v twin is probably not going to give you much power headroom, a 750 4 is going to be more then enough, but will take some rpms to get going.

Killing a hog is not always guaranteed. But that will be my first option. Still trying to set something up. My stepdads lease it too far away to just shoot hogs. Apparently my dad has a old coworker that has a lease down by Alvin. I just need to play my cards right. Either way. We will still have a BBQ.
