Yup, to download an app all you need it a Google account. If you have a gmail email then that is your account.

No different the having an Apple account.

 

Android does fucking suck. Mine never fucking worked when I needed it to. Open source sucks the big one.

 

Just want to run an offroad gps app and I have a cheap tablet I won a while ago that's android based.

 

Here at work, a lot of the beat-to-hell scaffold builder pool vehicles have brand new magnets, stickers, and flags on them. Typical.

I have both an android and iOS based phone. Have to say, Android used to blow dead bears but I have been pleasantly surprised. I prefer it over the iPhone. Then again, I detest Apple so there might be a bit of bias.

Just curious, what tablet did you win? I've got no Apple experience, but Android has always been decent to me.

 

Samsung galaxy tab 3 lite

 

Between my wife and I, we have 2 Samsung phones, 2 Samsung tablets, and 2 Samsung TVs. Between the 6 of them, we don't have 1/25th the problems my mother in law has with 1 iPhone and 1 ipad. We both used to be "I" people, but iTunes drove us away. The android took some getting used to, but was well worth it. And the file management is infinitely easier. We'll probably never go back to Apple for anything.

On a side note, may whoever invented/updated iTunes burn in hell for all eternity for creating such an asinine and infuriating program.
