    Does not sound right. Sounds like they either left something loose, or the linkage ends were not adjusted right. Heavy or light, there should be no delay if the rack and linkages are tight and adjusted.

    So I have figured out the port tube Im going to put in the box needs to be 2x7 my box is not that wide so I can't place it on the "front" next to the sub, would it be ok to put it through the rear of it facing the back wall?
