It's a scam, he's gonna send you extra money to pay the company right?

Supposedly, and its supposed to be a cashiers check. Which a cashiers check is verified by the bank, so if he does send the check, I will deposit it and will wait until I get the money in the bank before I allow the shipping company to come...

Edit: A scam is what I am worried about. Though, he has no way to take anything from me right now. And I live on campus, so I campus PD is constantly patrolling...

Yeah, I used to know this neighbor (who died before I was born) but anyways, he served in the Navy during WW2. So he hears this young Japanese POW telling his friend about the this guy he grew up with in Tokyo. Well, this US Navy guy doesn't speak very good Japanese, but from what he can gather, this Japanese POW's childhood friend had once traveled to Germany on a special educational tour of Europe, you know, before they had all the fighting and such. So, this guy talks about how, when his childhood friend was in Germany, he met this young feller who was a very gifted artist and they got along great. Then one day, the little German boy is whisked away to some bording school or something and the Japanese boy who happened to know this Japanese POW when they were kids goes back to Japan!
Yeah, so this neighbor that died before I was born was a good golfer.

Lol I know about the scam, I also know ways around it. In example, I have a clear definition of how much is coming, and what its uses are, and, I will do nothing until my bank verifies the full credibility of this check.

Yes, and that is my plan. To quote, he stated "I have mailed you a cashiers check for the discussed amount, as well as extra for the delivery service. Cash and verify the check first, and once you have received your funds, contact me so the delivery service can pick up the cover."

:notsure: Seems fairly safe in my opinion... Can't see any way it could be a scam other than possible robbery...
