All it took was getting the truck stuck in the back yard and I got a new present :yay:

Just look at the build thread
Just keep the Tacoma and buy a full size. That's what I'm going to do. But I'm waiting another year until the Tacoma is paid off.

I can't go a year like this. I'm spending $80/day on a hotel alone. That adds up quick when it comes out of a paycheck that's already weak.

This may sound stupid, but why not sleep in the Taco? your only expense at that point will be the truck.

I'm sorry but I doubt many of y'all would last longer than a week like that. Living out of your truck is something you'd do in times of absolute emergency but its not practical. What about when its 90 degrees out? Gonna leave the truck running all night with the AC on? What if its cold? What about if you get sick like food poisoning or something and have diarrhea? Would you feel safe protected only by plastic liner ? Knowing anyone in this new and trashy town could walk up to your truck and see you?

Could you rent a house? If you're gonna be their for a few months that might be a good idea. Or rent a room. Lots of people rent rooms out of there houses.

I have been looking into this. Trucks gonna have to go back to 33's so still gonna get stock body panels but I just have been waiting to talk to someone who's owned one and used it a lot to give me their review of a pop up compared to a camper. Like long term use and stuff.

I did it for almost a year after I graduated. Granted I have a DC so I put all of my stuff in the bed of my truck, which has a tailgate lock and had a bed cover to keep it all safe. I used local laundry mats for clothes, truck stops for showers, and restaurant dumpsters to throw trash away.

Well call me crazy but after having single cab trucks for 6 years now. I'd never ever want to live out of one.
