Don't mean to butt in but I hope you know what you're getting yourself into man.
Sounds like a lonely depressing lifestyle. But I guess times are tough?

And yes, I just left my truck on all night during the summer. I have blankets for the winter, and window covers for when I go to sleep to keep people from being able to see in. I always parks at truck stops for the night so that way there was a 24/7 flow of people, deterring anyone from doing anything stupid. And I won't call you crazy. I would hate to do it in a single cab.

Not really. I gave up half my normal pay to come to the current position I'm in. Struggles now will pay off in the future. Once I practice a little and become a pipeline welder, life will be easy and good and I could afford another toy to use offroad. Should only take a couple months since I already know how to weld. Just gotta learn how to pipeline pretty much.

It does sound lonely and depressing but that's just why you get a girlfriend that is okay with moving around every now and then and will go with you on the road.

Then you make friends with other welders and y'all pretty much become a family on the road. You sit and chill with your buddies outside your campers at the RV park just like hanging with your friends at home. Then if you're gf comes with you once you get off work you cant take her out or just relax.

Its just hard right now adjusting to all of it for sure.

If I play my cards right. Then when I'm 22. I should be able to make $150-$200k/year.

Do it for a few years. Save up some money. Buy a house and pay it off along with paid off vehicles then just get a normal welding job in a town and settle down with your family.

That's all I want in the end and this is just the beginning.

My family used one for several years.

Put up and take down obviously take longer than a hard sided camper.

The AC in them can't keep up during the heat of the day in Texas heat due to the soft sides. You'll be plenty cool at night, but during the day it's kinda rough. You'll be on site during the day, so that's not too big of a deal. You can add tarps over the beds to act as a heat barrier. I've put my easy up canopy over the ends before.

You'll be at a campground, so you don't necessarily need one with a bathroom and shower. Use the facilities at the camp ground. I'd recommend that with any trailer so you don't have to worry about filling your tanks that often. Find a site with sewer hookups at the site, not just one central dump station. If you don't have a hookup at your site you'll have to take a tote tank on wheels with you so you can empty the tanks. That'll be true with any trailer.

Small trailers are going to be short on storage, pop up or hardside, so don't plan on taking a ton of stuff with you.

The fridges are small, but should hold enough for the week.

Any other questions, just let me know.

You have a manual transmission, you'll be fine. Just gonna take you a bit to get up to speed. Make sure you get a brake controller for whatever you buy.

You know, the V6 version has a 6,500 lbs towing capacity with a tow package on it. I know you have a 4 cyl. But if you have a tow package, I can't imagine an insane difference.

well my current tires are chunking so I figured I'd do some research on tires and from what I've noticed 16's have more choice as opposed to 17's and since I already have one bronze 16 TRD wheel I thought I'd price out the other 3 and then price out a set of another wheel I liked...I could buy 5 wheels for the price of the 3 TRD wheels..

Sounds good, just remember that when you make over 100k a year. You pay about 17k in taxes each year.

If it wasn't 20k!! I would be calling him lol
