Yep I watched it pull forward. Your tube bumper looked good IMO. A winch is nice to have though.

LOL. Yep I thought it would take a couple trucks or a tractor to get him out. It's good that he got it taken care of though.

If time was spent digging and clearing a path rearward then the winching from both trucks with the anchors would have worked.
A backhoe lifting up while a winch pulling backwards would also have worked well.

I'm surprised you like the dakar, the moab is nicer IMO. Then again my only option is from shrock and arb, or custom. I have yet to find a shop locally willing to take on the challenge of building a prerunner style winch bumper. I heard that Gulfcoast Crawl Shop isn't fabricating stuff anymore and the guy named Jim over there had some awesome stuff.

Just look at the build thread
If the backhoe had enough power to lift up one end of the truck, it could have just pulled the truck out as well. No need for a winch.

I love the moab but weight is somewhat an issue. Plus there's no pic of a truck with the Dakar bumper with full hoops on their site and I want my truck to be the first :anonymous:

No shovels would help that situation. All 4 of his tires were floating already. He was in sand and looked like a turtle that couldn't touch the floor with his legs. I'm sure the sand suck the frame down some. Plus staying there over night didn't help either.

I got stuck just to see how well phill and kase recover knowledge was lol
