    Yeah best time to buy used is during the fall/winter. That's when people realize they never used their kayaks and decide to sell them for spare Christmas cash. I have bought three kayaks this way. Always during late November early December and from people with kids.

    Sounds like buying motorcycles. Winter and early spring are the best times to pick up something that someone with too much money decided they wanted, then decided it wasn't, after very little use.
