While I don't think college for the most part is overrated, I definitely think there needs to be an expansion and a stronger emphasis placed on technical/vocational schools. College isn't for everyone but I think as a country it is imperative to have an educated, strong, and competent work force. I truly believe technical/vocational schools will help fill the void that we currently have.

I absolutely agree. I think though what gets lost perhaps in translation is the absolute need to have a strong backing in both economics and communication as an engineer. You can be a brilliant engineer but if you're abrasive as hell and do not know how to communicate those brilliant concepts and have little regards for the economics of your concept, no one is going to listen to you. They're (unfortunately) going to listen to the slick dick, the guy who may not be quite as talented as you are but who can sell his concept to the right people.

And that is where knowing the right people comes in.

lol Dennis sent me that picture. I would have responded earlier but I fell back asleep

Been under the weather all week.

Dude I was wheeling last weekend drunk as a skunk. Had a bonfire raging on my hood and AC/DC's Highway to Hell blaring as I shot off MAC10's while driving over some endangered plants and throwing beer bottles on the trails
