So folks who have used a Dremmel before, what are your recommendations & tips to cut ABS plastic? Going to be cutting up my grill today and I'd appreciate the advice.

Get a multi-purpose cutting bit for the rough cuts.

    http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-561-Multipurpose-Cutting-Bit/dp/B00004UDIB

Then use a cutoff wheel for the final cleanup.

What are you putting in the grille?

Well, you can find the bits and wheels at home depot, lowes, or your normal hardware store.

Here's an install video we did for the DB grille. You get the idea of where we used the bit and where we used the wheels.

Watch your speed, you want to cut, not melt. BTW, for my grillcraft, I ended up just using a hacksaw blade since that plastic is quite soft.

They also make cutoff wheels for plastic. The link above was for metal. Not sure of the difference though

I used a Sawzall for the bulk cuts and a dremel for the final cuts

Anyone have a recommendation for a electric hand grinder? Something small.

That's one of my major concerns. My Dremmel is still in it's original packaging and I've never used it in two years of ownership, so this is my initiation so to speak. I may just saw to heck with it, grab my shears, and snip the posts and sand/grind away the nubs. I'll figure it out.

Sawzall is still at work. :(

Yeah, grinder is the final thing I did for my grillcraft.
