I have a DMM and the test tones and have done some of this already. I would be more interested in the steps they take to tune it, to understand if there is more to be done that I haven't already.

Usually you start from the Hu and measure when it Hu starts to clip. Then work your way back. He said smaller systems he would just tune by ear.

How did you find out what volts your amp had to be at with the dmm?

Table doesn't make sense. .... it doesn't tell you if you have this many watts and this many ohms of resistance this is what you set it to. It's just volts to amps table. How does it know when y I ur amp clips?

Box is pretty easy to make. If you decide to take the plastic bins out. The first picture you have. There is a metal bracket holding the seats in place. Building the box around that sucks.... lol

I would put 3 of those behind the seat!

I had a Mazda SUV I traded in that had an occasional miss in it. I had taken it to Mazda and some local shops but nobody could pinpoint it. Loaded up a trailer with my bike and a few other things, hooked it on the SUV and went to the dealer, I had OD locked out (it seemed to miss less when not in OD??) They test drove it with the trailer attached. Unhooked the trailer and hooked it to the new truck and drove away lol

Correct, DMM does not see clipping, that is your ears. Would need an oscilloscope to "see" clipping. With just a DMM you use the table to set the volts based on the amp output, then listen for any clipping at that level.

MrMarv for the best quality enclosures, unless you know someone local. Soundoffaudio for cheaper, adequate boxes.
