I dunno a year+ of not working at all, and somehow managing not to starve to death and still have access to the internet sounds pretty nice too

That's called money management skills. Save save save when you have work. Try not to spend. Ever. But no, my point is getting paid to do nothing must be nice.

 

I suck at saving. So much want so little self control

 

The trick is to unlock your inner jew and tighten your fists. Hell I haven't done anything to my truck in like 2 years and I don't plan to.

But I did get paid 4.5 hours today to do nothing before they sent everyone home due to a flood advisory. Today was safety day. So I sat in on two safety meetings while waiting to get my assignment. Then right after I got assigned around 1030 they said all contractors were getting let go for the day at 11 due to the weather. Been up since 430. Do I want a nap or to play fo4? That is the question.

Today in my safety meeting the guy told us to close our eyes and then said imagine you died from this or that at the plant and your wife and kids having to live without you. Then he told us to open our eyes and asked how it made us feel... he walked up to me and was like "new guy, how'd that make you feel? "
I said "I mean I don't have a wife or any kids but I don't really wanna die from an explosion in the plant."
