Too poor to list anything interesting.
No electronics were lost. But half of the bark on the tree is. Flew onto the neighbors porch.

So far, I've found nothing that makes me jump more than the flash-crash from a close strike. Seeing the flash, then in a few seconds, the crash, no prob. But the immediate flash-crash comes too close to an underwear changing event. Glad no heavy damage.

That's for people, not trees,,, and also for those that have been taser'd extensively.

At your age, letting out a fart is probably close to an underwear changing event.

There's a line like this from the top to the base of the tree.

@TXSmiley was sleeping with our cat. Cat heard the lightning and claws came out.

:D When one of my sons was quite a bit younger, he did not like thunder. So whenever a t-storm rolled through at night it would be funny because wife and I would be sleeping, hear a crash of thunder, hear his bed creak some, then the pitter-patter of little feet running from his room to ours where he'd jump into our bed for the rest of the night.

It's a pecan tree. Been there for a while, too. So it's pretty big.

Flash, crash and claws, even better for waking up with a slight bit of adrenaline through the veins.

I still have a ton of bark to pick up that's all over the driveway and my sister's car.

    This.

I'm sure when it floods again, it will wash down the street and onto the highway.
