so this happened on the second....dude ran a red and smashed into me. I'm waiting on his insurance to get their estimates but I'm sure it's a total loss.

Sounds like you are ok,,, and you should hope its a total loss. You really dont want to be messing around with gremlins and lost value. Unless you want to trail rig it that is.

Yeah, I got T-boned in an intersection that the guy just rolled through the stop sign. He was only doing around 35 or so and I saw it in time where I sped up enough to hit behind the cab. Insurance did not total it but it was always a wrecked truck in my mind. I ended up trading it in on my 14 I have now. Just couldn't live with knowing there would be problems down the road from someone else's ignorance.

I think due to the front end damage, and potential damage to the engine, it will total. I with you, I could not handle being in a vehicle that had 10-15gs worth of repairs, and not worry about trade in down the road.

I am just glad he had insurance. He had a Mexican id card, and no DL. I am also glad his vehicle was as bad as it was so he could not take off. Its American Access Insurance, so we will see what they come at me with.

After seeing what happens to you AT meets, I think the risk of missing might be worth it. :p:p
