I know! I'm hoping my boss decides to keep us closed those two following Mondays so we can have some chill time before going back.

Thought it was pretty much accepted to give the extra day if they fell on weekends. Guess not.

My office is closing the entire last week of December. Then on January 2nd I have to fly to California for work. :(

My company decided to give December 30th as Holiday instead of January 2nd and they still are counting it as a 2017 Holiday

Interesting take. Mine will give the closest next day, so this year Monday's are the holidays. If they fell on Sat, then Fri would be holidays. Doesn't much matter to me anyways, for about the last 15 years I've had to burn vacation at year end, so I am not in for that time anyway.

Made it home finally. The last couple hours once I got into texas was the most difficult part of the trip lol. Fuck that drive. And fuck the small gas tanks on tundras.

Yeah. The downside of getting a new job is that I lost my extra tenured vacation time from my old company. Thankfully this company I'm at give an extra week of vacation for every 4 years of service. Plus I get 2 weeks of sick leave every year

You need to push your HR dept. Mine changed policy a few years ago, and allowed you to justify prior relevant experience when figuring vacation years. I jumped 6 years during that little exercise.

I tried. They are treating me like I'm a 22 year old fresh grad since I just got my degree and they seem to disregard my previous experience. But it's okay. Four years will pass by quick and then I'll have 3 weeks of vacation. Then another four years will pass and I'll have 4 weeks of vacation and so on and so on. At least the pay and benefits are good.

Well if I'm off still I may be persuaded to bring you Starbucks so you survive the day.
