    My new winch was located in Atlanta Georgia this morning. The departure scan was at 5:00AM. The scheduled delivery still says today, we'll see if that happens.

    One of the main reasons I went with the tiger shark was the solenoid. They use a contactor, not the old school style "trash can" solenoids. The contactor is a sealed waterproof unit from the factory. The stainless tie bars and hardware are also nice.

    From what I've read you're not supposed to use synthetic with winches that have an in-drum brake.

    They brake will heat the drum above the melting point of the synthetic line.

    Not that we're going to use the brake that much, but the opportunity to melt the line is there.
