I'll have to take the gear stack off and rotate it 90deg for the ARB so I'll see how the seals are when it's apart. The solenoid is already a sealed unit so I don't have to worry about that part of it.

crack it open, just to be sure. the smittybilt solenoid is sealed, but the silicone o-ring on it is far too small to actually seal if it were to be fully submerged. i ditched the o-ring and ran a big ol' bead of marine silicone on it before i sealed it back up. did the same with the cardboard gaskets in the winch housing.

 

I'll stick to $15 worth of tubing and some clamps haha
