We would have put it on jack stands but that it's hard to get that car in the air without a lift. Especially with limited space and water coming in quickly.

Exactly!! Young folks that stay because they want to - well it was their choice. But the folks in the home - Who are they gonna blame that on?

If you have ever been to Houston then you'd know that an evacuation isn't as simple as it sounds. You would literally have to evacuate a week before the storm hits just to give time for everyone to get off the roads. There would be immense traffic and not sure if there's enough fuel and would end up with people being trapped on the side of the road or in traffic.

The safest thing for people to do was to stay home and just goto their attics and wait it out.

People upset about vehicles and all that is fine. You can buy another vehicle. All that matters is that most people are safe for the most part. Some are just panicking and over reacting

For the record, I was questioning the nursing home on why they haven't evacuated. But I just heard on cnn that, I think, a nurse (head nurse??) had a backup plan. I just hope she gets them out before it gets up to their necks.

From what the weather service is predicting Houston will probably see another 2ft of rain.
