Don't know to be honest, I haven't wandered out since Sat. Yesterday was more water in the subdivision than I wanted to go through, plus had both son's cars in the driveway in front of mine. Would have had to move one into the water to get out, so wasn't worth it. Probably wander out later today though.

I'm sure Dennis can report out since he's out trashing whats left of his bearings.

Man, I'm so glad I left on Friday. Went to Shreveport to gamble and eat buffet. Probably end up staying here all week since during the week, hotel rooms are empty since everyone goes to work. I got a 4 star hotel for $50/night at the casino.

Once I learned they were expecting 30+ inches of rain and there was no evacuation order, I got the f*ck out of there. I've learned always do the opposite of what the government says and you'll be fine.

Back during Rita, they told everyone to evacuate and you would have been better off staying. This time it's the opposite.

My heart goes out to everyone down there though as I've been keeping track of events unfolding down there.

You gauge it, you learn from past experience, you make your move.

I was actually planning on staying, had cases of water and food, gas, had everything ready to go, even had my generator ready. Then Thursday night around 11pm something in my head just clicked. So I went and booked the hotel in Shreveport at around midnight and then left Friday morning at 5am

I just know that Houston floods. I feel for those that live on the outskirts of Houston though. Sucks...

I love new reporter's. A reporter and camera man went into a flat bottom boat. To cover the rescues. They went to rescue a family of 5. But the boat was to full.... so 2 of them had to stay back. The reporter said to the kids, I'll stay with you on the boat cause I know you're scared. Stupid bitch you and the douche bad took two spots on the boat! Get the fuck out and let the family trying to escape get in.
