Pearland. I might be able to get into Houston later. But I can always drop it off at the salvation army when they open

I'll be heading back to Houston Thursday/Friday. Anyone in the Katy or Katy Cinco Ranch area that needs help with anything,( place to shower, food, transportation, moving stuff from their homes) let me know.

I was lucky enough that my place wasn't flooded, but immediately south of my street in cinco ranch was flooded and evacuated.

Made it back to cypress. Shit ton of mud in the garage and the apartment entry way. Like at least an inch of mud.

Hey guys just checking in we are safe and dry. Once the water went down we immediately went to work with the shop vac and mops and got all the water sucked out and mopped every thing out as much as possible. We are lucky that our entire first floor is concrete and so the cleanup was made easier than those I see today having to tear out carpet and wood.

The main damage to our house was in the garage. The garage apartment that we have been renting out is completely wrecked right now so we have moved our tenant(and friend)into the house as we look at how to do repairs and wait on the insurance company. The wood floors are warped and the sheetrock, baseboards, etc will have to be cut out and replaced as well as the doors since they took on lots of water and are falling apart. Dylan's Viper is unfortunately totaled and will be picked up by the insurance company once roads become passable. The Cadillac was up on jack stands and made it out unscathed.

I count myself among the lucky right now as I have a home that I can stay in, electricity, food and water. I know others struggle to have even one of these things right now.

The biggest blow I am experiencing is that my office is completely destroyed. I work for a small business owner and we sell ink/toner etc and our office saw 5ft of water. Half our inventory was destroyed along with all of our computers and electronics. As of now I don't have a job until we can see if the office will be fixed by our landlord as well as my boss can sort things out and see what we can do about opening back up. This could take weeks. Our entire clientele is from the Houston area as well so as they are impacted so are we in the sense that if they are destroyed they don't need our services.

In the face of it all I am trying to remain strong and positive and keep my head up. I have weathered many storms in my life and I sure as fuck won't let a bitch named Harvey take me down.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to let us know how yawl are. It's definitely a few minutes you could use somewhere else. Definitely feel for you, high stress, easy to screw yourselves up health wise if you're not careful. Make sure you take care of yourselves, even if you have to step away.

Oh yeah,,, fuck you in the ass with a baseball bat Harvey!

Our business took about 20". But our owners are out of state and don't realize how much is affected. Alot of our supply chain is in Houston and are we have to seed how they came out before we can really start manufacturing again.

All, if you're cleaning inside after flooding, please remember to wear an n95 face mask.

I can't stress that enough. Anytime there is flooding, even an inch of water, there is tons of shit that comes along with it. If you breathe in the crap long enough, it gets stuck in your lungs for a long time.
