    Link to purchase?

Could you share information or contact details of the group? Trying to get a group from South Texas to drive up for a few days to try and help.

For the record. Even if you have a 6" lift and 40s and a snorkel... if you are alone or not familiar with the area or don't have anyone you could call to save your ass within 10 minutes... don't go through water. Half way up the tire can be just as dangerous as halfway over the hood.

People forget that the water can create cavities under the roads and can literally swallow your truck in a heartbeat and you'd never see it coming. Then you put
Yourself in a bind and will need to be rescued and end up using resources that could be needed elsewhere.

Wanting to help is a good thing but do it smart. If you're going to come from out of state and want to help with the flooding then borrow a boat, load the boat full of supplies since you can fit ALOT of supplies in a boat compared to a truck bed.

Avoid flooded roads. Unload suppplies somewhere and use boat to cross water and help people.

Or just donate online to a trustable site.

Just my .02 cause you see daily "hey guys I have a snorkel and wanna come help. I can cross water!" And it comes with good intentions but there's really better ways to help.

You're right. Precisely why I'm going with the group to a different area. If I had a group.I'd come to the flood spots.

Yea I've crossed roads with water on em...5 minutes from my house and I would've left the truck in a ditch and came and got it with the tractor lol.

But I don't do crossings with current or water rushing over it. The taco was too light and would definitely get swept away so I never even wanted to chance it.

    Totally agreed.

It's been an emotionally draining the past few days, and I wasn't in town for everything. I was in northern Texas/LA just watching the coverage on tv and I'm emotionally drained, I can't imagine how people with first hand experience are doing emotionally.

I'm sure when I return tomorrow and have to drive through Cinco Ranch, it's gonna be tough.

I'm done watching all this shit on the news! It's just so goddamn sad.

Dude in the Pearland whse lost everything. Yet he showed up this morning smiling and ready for work.

Girl at my wife's whse lost her parents!

    Fuck.

I'm glad the wife and I are beyond lucky and haven't dealt with anything as a result of this bitch Harvey.

But fuck. It's so frustrating! I'd like to give whatever I could to help fix this shit, but there's so much damn need. It's rather overwhelming and like I said, we haven't been personally affected.

Again @357sig stop judging the sentimental California boy. :duel:
