Well 70's during the day and then 50's at night I believe is what the forecast said last time I checked. I can't wait to throw all these windows open and air this house out.

Flood insurance will be here tomorrow to write everything up. Apparently I have 100K of home content coverage so all my furniture and everything should be covered as well. Things seem to be looking up buy the storms brewing out there and Irma about to wreck Florida has me worried. Might need to invest in one of those water dam things.

 

I would bump that home content coverage up to 200k. You'd be amazed at how fast stuff adds up.

 

Lift your house, put it on stilts. Can't flood you if you're waaaaaay up in the air.

Lol. A few new houses here in MeyerLand were build up 4-6 feet since past flooding was only 2' and below. Those new house flooded this time.

 

One family raised their house 11ft. Only lost a vehicle.

 

Whaaa, that would have been a trippp. Probably would have woken up with a missing kidney. Hmm, interesting.

I could probably replace everything in my house for under 100K but I've thought of bumping the coverage up since it never hurts to be over insured I guess.

My boyfriend has a house on stilts down right near the water. It didn't even flood the downstairs apartment. The cost to lift my house would be like getting another mortgage and since I don't have one of those right now I would prefer to keep it that way.

 

Sometimes it get down to the 20s. But not always, usually "cold is like 30s.

Anything below 50s is cold for me.

Wash your feet, the stench attracts them. A dryer sheet in the pocket my not turn the ladies heads as you strut past, but it turns off the mosquitos plenty well.
