I don't know anyone who had them installed, but if you think through it, probably 3 hours for flat-rate labor to remove, get the springs swapped, and then re-installed, then the alignment. If that includes the alignment, probably not a bad price.

    Unfortunately, that doesn't include alignment.

My opinion is that they are making a bit too much then, but some shops don't want to take on anything that's not a half-day payday for them.

I wanna do a full race series LT on kings with 35s or 37s triple locked. After suspension gears lockers wheels and tires you are already at 10k. Then throw in cost for armor.

I've seen people with 5th gen 4R's paying $300+ for install.

There is a guy on FB off-road swap that keeps getting 6.0 LQ4s with trans, tcase, harness and computer and selling them for around $2500.

Getting a package like that and finding and old 4Runner sub $1000 would leave a lot of budget for suspension and axles.

    Agh decisions, decisions.

At least my wife and I found some good sushi tonight in this small town of Sulphur,LA

Oh, Sulphur. Turned 21 in that town while I was doing some work at the Citgo refinery. Memories.

You ever check out Steamboat Bill's?

That's a pretty good price for everything that's included. I would prefer a LQ9 for the higher compression and hp, but that's splitting hairs in this case. Are the transmissions 4L60, 65, or 4L80?

My bad. He does sell the LQ9

    Holy crap. Yes.

With 140k miles on the engine and transmission, I'd spend some time rebuilding both, but it would be a fun (and a bit lengthy) process. The aftermarket support for the LQ & LS engines leave you with no shortages of options.
