It was just like this. Like same design. But the quality was way worse.

I don't think most people are ready for kids. They just have them and then have to figure out how to deal with it.

 

My youngest is 20 and I'm still not ready for kids.

 

I agreeeee on that. She was just acting like it’s impossible to do. Like you could tell she regretted having hers and think everybody will regret there’s too.

I had a buddy that would read books about kids and shut. He said he had to prepare himself. Told him a book ain't going to help. You just have to do it. Lol

It's not impossible obviously but it helps to have yourself together before creating another life. I think most people forget that part and then they struggle so hard because they were struggling before or weren't really capable of taking care of themselves.

 

I think it's great seeing someone that is struggling on life and have 2 kids and pregnant with another one.

 

I essentially agree with both of these statements. I think the a cornerstone of being a good parent is maturity and discipline, the combination of which results in self-sacrifice. Regardless of the behavior of the parents prior to bring another life into this world. A lot of people say "the birth of ________ changed me". They're right I'm sure in their own way, but they had the mental fortitude and discipline before becoming a parent and becoming a parent only recalibrated or refocused the parents thinking. Some people don't. Men and women who are biologically parents but who abandon, neglect, or do the bare minimum while keeping themselves priority over the child didn't have any of the qualities I mentioned earlier to begin with.

 

I can agree with that. I've had to help raise my nephew(my brother died when my nephew was 2 and his mom is a failure)and it has driven me crazy watching his mother fail to take care of him(and his siblings)because she places herself as priority and makes terrible decisions. She has 5 kids with 4 different fathers and she doesn't have a single one of them but is always promising them the world.

I'm so sorry to hear that; that has to be hard to watch. Thank you for stepping up and helping where the biological mother has failed so miserably.

 

Totally agree. I’m one of the ones that a kid would recalibrate my discipline while the chick I was arguing with really is the type that won’t be a great parent and will just go through the motions

 

Any of you Houston Tacos going to the South Padre Island 9th annual meet up this July the 14?? If y'all are that way my Taco friends and I can possibly meet up and drive to the rallying points as a convoy??
