I was thinking the same thing. Trying to figure out when I can fit some time in. Bunch of things I want to get done this weekend, including trying to get a day to get some meat smoked,,, been waiting weeks for a weekend without rain forecast to get it going,,, only time I've been wishing for a covered patio.

 

How long does it take to smoke meat? Never done it before so I know next to nothing about the process.

Brisket is 10-12 hours

 

Not quite, need to monitor smoker temps. I don't leave mine for more than a couple hours at a time.

 

Two day safety course, then going to the DMV for the test. I think the course is a couple hundred.

 

I just read the book and took the test.
