    Looks like I'll be celebrating July 4th by installing new Kicker speakers in the doors!
    Since I don't have a garage of my own (apartment dweller), I'm probably driving out to a friend's house in Inez (almost 2 hours away) to borrow space in his workshop. I can't stand the thought of doing the install in the hot sun...

    Back in high school in college, I was a HUGE fan of upgrading/installing sound systems. But then I had 2 windows smashed, and subwoofer box stolen from my hatchback. This was TWO DAYS before the window tint/alarm installation was scheduled. I know; I should've done that first. The lessons we learn...

    Ever since then, I've never been a fan of 'look at what I've got' when it comes to the sound system. Speakers will be installed where the stock ones were. Amps behind/under the seat. Sub behind the rear seat. I'm hesitant to even replace the head unit. Besides, I just want to add a little bottom end to the overall sound...without attracting unwanted attention.

    They should pass a law that all federal holidays will be observed on a Friday or Monday. This going back to work for 1 day thing makes me long for retirement.
