    Maintenance at a power plant. Had something major break around lunch time today and was told to not leave until it’s fixed. Will probably get 24 hours by the time we are done lol

    The railroad has a federal hours of service law which we can only work 12hr shifts. We can be left on duty over 12hrs (mainly waiting for a ride or riding from a train) but are not able to preform any kind of work. They would absolutely abuse us if it wasnt federal law and I am glad for it. 12hrs and I am good and ready to go home and do it again the next day even though we get paid the entire time.

    That’s true but sometimes it’s fun. The extra money is good and knowing you “still got it” is kinda fun too. Leaving now finally so that’s a 24 hour day at work. It sucked but wasn’t the end of the world.
