Ooof..... welcome to the west side of the Mississippi River basin. We have beaches, but the closet thing to what had will be South Padre Island, about 5-6 hours south of Houston. With the runoff from the Houston ship channel and Mississippi, pretty much everything from the river mouth to Corpus Christi is sketch.

Edit: That said, we have some amazing rivers and lakes just a few hours west/northwest of Houston. Lake Houston/Conroe/Livingston/Sam Rayburn are ok, but dont really hold a candle to the lakes and rivers in the hill country. The Trinity river is also highly polluted, and the Brazos is a muddy joke.

It's been a long time since I was on a boat out in clear lake. We either do early morning or late night fishing there.

Hell yea! The trout were tearing it up. They just so happen to be baby trout's! Like 5 inchs:annoyed: even schools of baby catfish were in on the raid. Shit was crazy!
It was super slow when the sun went down. Not one fish in the boat. I did catch a crab trap...:anonymous:
My buddy caught that green light.
And my other buddy caught another green light around the corner.

Those under water green lights are amazing! You can pull up to one and see the fish's shadow. No shadow, no fish!

They usually just turn off the lights when they see us parked outside. I want to go back and see their face when the noticed we moved two of their lights lol
