My ignorant opinion,,, glad you asked :D.

That gap looks like a bad mold, and fit attempt by the vendor. I would be very careful with attempting to heat glass, sounds like a great way to totally screw up the finish (if your lucky) or delaminate the glass.

I'm just not into all the electronic gimmicks and nanny systems in modern vehicles plus the prices. I'll always buy used. And I like the nostalgia that the utilitarian trucks bring me

 That's where I'm at with my 09 now (Gen 1 Tundra ;)). 10 years and counting. I like having a "truck" and not a lifted sedan, also too cheap to crowbar the wallet open enough to re-capitalize anything newer.

Yeah but v8 in a small SUV :D
They run the same price as a v8 T4R so why not upgrade to Lexus? The only downside is no rear locker

It's a.midsize... so yeah. That's like having a v8 in a taco. Would that not be a small truck?

I consider the taco a small truck on the account of no dang leg room in the back seat.

Yeah since the compact.truck market.in.america.is dead, midsize trucks are.the new.small trucks. Now I get how you would say it's hard to call the current GX or T4R small because they're.almsot the size.of a.1st gen Sequoia lol

That is a sad fact for sure. There is nothing wrong with small trucks but they dont sell well in the USA. everyone wants the biggest truck, even if its only pulling a ghost trailer...... :stirthepot:

Cause it’s stupid. The midsize market killed itself. Why spend $40k on a Tacoma whenever a tundra cost the same? You get more bang for the buck on all the full sizes. Look at Ranger prices too.

People just got smart and realized the dollar goes further on a full size

Companies have to bring midsize truck prices down to realistic values to make it make sense to buy em.

And why do the whole “I don’t want technology” thing ? It’s not a technology thing. You’re just the type that will say music from your generation was the best, y’all had the best morals, tv shows, etc etc.

It’s just being stuck in the old ways that you’ve grown used to. Meanwhile your “utilitarian” truck is a Cadillac compared to what people in the 70’s and 80’s had.

These convo always crack me up lol.
