Houston area (along with DB's not from Houston) BS thread

Lol I usually take a few hits of cigar. Then take one or two hits of vape.

Now that I dont mine smoking cigars. When I'm at the bar and someone gives me a disgusting look or says it stinks. Ill ask the bartender to grab me a cigar. And I'll light that shit up.

 

Any suggestions where to buy cigars in town (Houston)? Been ordering online... Hit or miss. Maybe I'm just being too cheap?

Follow up- my bilstein 5100 (4th notch) went on relatively easy... A little less finess and more wrestling than I hoped; but pretty happy with the results.

 

There are several local stores that have maintained humidors with a good selection. Whereabouts are you in Houston?

 

Heights area, 610 and yale. Hit up a couple of places in the galleria area (where my office is)... Good smokes but not cheap

 

Yeah, it's an expensive habit. I imagine the stores around you are even more so because of the area.

There is a place in Webster that I really like and the prices are reasonable, but that's a hike for you.

 

Lol... Yeah, don't go that direction too often. Sure they charge a premium around here... Willing to pay it from time to time, but hate to spend a fortune on the random evening cigar. Have a cheap/decent cigar go to?

Do you guys ever do meet ups in the Clear Lake area? I've seen some of you at Kemah once, but I was working on a house reno so I didn't hang around. Usually, when I go to the Kemah car show I bring my car but I suppose I could bring the taco.

 

I think the spontaneous meets have a better outcome than the ones planned months or weeks before hand

 

but usually someone just picks a place and time. Then people show up
