I saw someone on the FB event ask if they could bring their jeep and they were told yes, so I say do it! Just remember to talk about how much you regret not having the taco anymore, and we're so cool, and my skewp is a panty-dropper, etc, etc.

I think I liked my truck better when it was stock lol but yeah, I'll miss it, but holy hell this "broverlander" fad was starting to irk me. When they guy at Starbucks the other day told me "Sweet 4runner man! Do you do any awesome overlanding?!?"

Yes.... I drive on roads... That are paved over land. Bye now.

Ya, I had some stoner kid at Mod compliment mine when it had the temp tag still. Gave me my pizza and was like "oh, it's 4x4? That's cool, man. You can go off road!" I said yep, thanks, have a good one!

Does everyone in HTX want to introduce themselves so we can get to know each other? What you drive, what area in town, etc? Or tell me if that's dumb. This is my first go at trying to be active in a forum.

The forest run/Cheeseburger Loop is fun and I've done it several time. Usually very tame(I've never even used my 4WD running the loop) you're just running back roads and dirt roads and we would always stop at Yankee's Tavern for lunch which is a little biker bar in the middle of nowhere that makes some pretty badass burgers. Like I said, super tame compared to the wheeling I am used to but we did find an abandoned boat one time and shenanigans ensued of course.

Not dumb at all. Glad you're here. :) We're scattered throughout Houston, but several of us live on the SE side. And some don't live in Houston at all. It's been a long time, years, since we've had a HBS meet. Shame, really.

Yankees brings back some good memories. Once upon a time a bunch of us would go riding through the National Forest and would stop to have lunch there.

I'm over in memorial city area. I wanted to come out to the meet tomorrow , but couldn't find a co-pilot. Seemed like all day riding alone wouldn't be as much fun. I'll definitely try to make it out to the next one! Maybe we all hit the beach once it gets a bit warmer? A bonfire and beers would be fun!
