She may be, I mentioned to her that most had small lifts with mud tires. She had said it had been raining so not sure on that part. It sounds like it would still be a nice place if you can find good trails.

So regretting not going but was so unsure of what to expect. Looks like a good time glad you guys found this place and it looks like a good place for a future meet. I'll try to stick around this section to see if y'all get a meet together soon I will be there for that.

    Down South Off-Road Park:

There were a lot of good trails. The problem with the trails were they were really narrow, and some turned into 4wheeler trails. We went down lots of them too.

That lady we talked to on the phone didn't really know what she was talking about. Prerunners may not have been able to make it down some of the trails, but they still could have drove them down the main road and up to the beach/river area. There was not that much mud at all and we didnt hit any mud pits just drove around them. I only really needed 4x4 climbing up some of the sand hills. I went all over the park and I was using stock suspension. The main thing is when it really starts to rain, the park will be way more tough and Prerunners will not be able to leave the main rode. I can see it being really hard on our 4x4s also if we get a good rain, but for now the park is really dry and easy. For everyone who goes to this park the best area to play is to go all the way to the beach/river area, which is at the back of the park. Behind the beach area is a large pit, with lots of sand hills, and mud at the bottom. This is the best area to go because it is open and there are no trees and brush to run into. They also have a very large slip'in slide going into the river that looks nice at the beach/river area. This place also allows pets, my lab got to go riding around with me. I was just told I needed to keep him on a leash. I think this place could be a possible meet place, it was a lot of fun. Pm me if you have any questions about the park that I didn't cover.

Oh and FYI it is 10$ per vehicle(5$ ATV), and 10$ per person. It cost me 30$ since my wife rode with me to get into the park. They scan your driver licenses at the gate, you pay, and have to wear a wrist band. If you didn't want to take your truck in, you can park it in the lot by the gate, and ride with someone, but it will still cost you 10$ to get in. They had 2 off duty LEOs at the gate. The park opens at 8am and not before (we got there a bit early). 3pm-8pm friday, 8am-10pm saturday, & 8am-8pm sunday.

I am thinking I should have just made a new thread with all this info. and we just post the pics there.

Just stretching out the suspension some.....

That is some very good info you put up just now and yea she did not know what she was talking about from what I see in the pics. As far as the small trails my truck is scratched so not real worried about getting new ones on if I know some of you guys don't want to. A new thread would be good with possible meet dates lol.

Sorry, I couldn't make the meet this Sunday, looks like it was fun. Had all kinds of other things going on.

No Matagorda for me that weekend Blake. I've a got a motorycle trip video premier and hopefully an unveiling of my bobber build that weekend. Gonna be super busy. I do want to hit up Matagorda soon though.

Not done yet, but this is the lastest pic. Everything has been worked on or fabbed in my garage. It would have been done about 2 weeks ago, but had top end compression issues. had to get an old, but new to the bike cylinder head.
