So if we start at 8am how long are we going to run that day? All day? Are we going to eat somewhere or are we just bringing stuff to eat along the way?

There are a few places to eat in Matagorda. IIRC, the store where you get the access stickers sells barbeque. Will most likely throw some stuff in a cooler too. Is the Chevron sticker store gonna be the meetup point before heading out on the beach?

I need a sticker, so I'm down for meeting there. I'll put some stuff in the cooler also, but could do BBQ if anyone else is interested.

I say the more the merrier, so bring yo friends. I'm inviting a Ford 4X4.

I'd be pretty fun to grill our own stuff, but it would just be more crap to haul around.

Yeah, last yr when we did this I hauled my pit down there to cook after wheelin but one of the guys had a campsite at the park right by the beach so we dumped it off there. Not gonna be bringing it this time. Might have surfboard tho, to try out the gopro video. If someone else plans on bringin one, I'll either bring somethin to grill or buy somethin to grill at the sticker store.

Here is a link to a Matagorda beach cam. Scroll all the way down to bottom. Page also lots of info about what's around the area.......

So who am I getting to follow from Houston?
Should I do the differential breather mod before I go? I had been planning on doing it I just haven't yet.

Not unless you plan on driving in the ocean. See possible meetup place below.......

I will be coming from Katy area which means I will be crossing 59 south at hwy 36 in Rosenburg. There is a gas station of the south side of 59 we could meet at. From there, I go south on 36 just past Needville to FM442 turn right and that hits hwy 60 and go left which takes you thru bay city and down to Matagorda then left on fm 2301 which goes down to the beach. The bbq/sticker store is right close to the corner of 60 and 2301 after you turn left. Takes me maybe 15 minutes to get to 59 and 36 so someone pick a meet time. It's about 45 minutes from Rosenburg to Matagorda. All country roads except passin thru needville and bay city.
