I can be there whenever within 15-20 minutes from my house so whenever most people will be there. Was thinkin of being there sometime around 0700 but
if you're leaving H-ville around 5 then I might need to be there earlier, like around 0630 at the latest.

Just do 610 S to 59 S and meet us in Rosenburg. That is the most direct route there. I just cut off some of the extra 59 S and not going thru Wharton, which is where 60 crosses 59, by going 36 & fm442. It comes out on 60 right before Bay City.

Thanks for the more detailed directions.

I pick up 59S @ Hwy6 so I may be down for meeting at said gas station as well.

Won't know until closer to date as I may be in Ganado that weekend.

Not trying to throw a wrench in the plans, but there is a Buc-ee's in Wharton where 59S picks up Hwy 60. The Hwy 36 to FM 442 route does not save that much time, unless your set on traveling that way.

    Just a suggestion.

I'm not opposed to stoppin by there if folks wanna. I don't really has a case of buc-ee fever but if folks want to stop then so be it, I'll roll up in there and see what's up. We could even make that the meetup spot, definitely more interesting than the hokie gas station at 36. I can just go west a bit and drop down 60 to 59 instead of doing the 36 thing.

Doing the front TRD bilsteins & alignment Monday, currently hitting an FS thread to score a warn winch in a bag so I should be set.

About 110 miles from Houston to Matagorda. Lemme mapquest it and see what mileage says..........If you start in downtown Houston and go 59 S to hwy 60 to buc-ees then 60 to center of Matagorda, it says 106 miles. Then about 4 or 5 to actual beach.

Cool, I got a bud who lives in Huffman right off 1960 where it crosses the lake. We do road cruises on the country roads, go accross lake bridge and up thru Kingwood to some trails and back and also Lake Houston State Park up 2100 for better trails.....mt bikes/road bikes that is. So tell me where some prerunnerish trails are in that area.

it's a bit of a hike from where you are located, but early in the AM with no traffic, it's not too bad. I'd say once you are on 59 S past Sugar Land, it's not but another 1:15 to 1:30. so if you leave 6ish, you'll be spinnin sand by 8 or 8:30 at the latest.

yeah i guess so. gas has been killing me lately. but ive really been wanting to meet up with some fellow tacoma owners. i have 0 friends with a 4x4 of any kind so its kinda lame. they all load up in my truck and if i get stuck i got no one to come get me. so yeah im on the fence i really wanna make it so i just gotta check my schedule and my bank account

wow cool yeah thats right exactly where im at. i ride my bike all around the back country roads, although its been awhile now, its so hot out!!!

but there aint shit for trails around here that i know of. i always go through the pipelines by my house but im pretty sure im not supposed to be doin that. under 90 is a great place to off road for ATVs and sidexsides but i think most of them are way hardcore and really wallow out the trails and stuff so i dont think it would be very good for our trucks. although now that its so dry ive been thinking about going down there to see what it looks like now

if you find any good trails or anything i would love to hit em up

Yeah, the ground stays wet up there so long that every trail for motorized stuff gets all rutted to hell.

I know where all that stuff is. I grew up in Northshore, south of the dam down towards I-10. Lake Houston & San Jacinto River were the water fun areas closest by..........

No, I'm up in Fort Worth now, my parents are still there. I'm from the other side of the lake, went to Humble, grew up in Atascocita, lived back in Kings River Estates. They just sold the house in March, they have some property now West of Dayton. My wifes family lives right off of Gum Gully and 2100. We are hoping I can get a redirect through work and get back to that area.

Either way, I'm with you, I'll be coming from Fort Worth if I make it, so if its a 100 miles south of Houston, I'm out.
