A way to save on insurance is to have wheelers sign a waiver. Kind of like racing your own car at HRP.

Financially its not that bad either. He said land is paid for. It means he is not paying anything as a mortgage. Now yes insurance and few other things he will have to look into. I personally think its a good idea if executed keeping all consumers in mind. I think if you can select 1 positive thing from each of the few nicer ORP of Texas and combine it all to put in your ORP then you will be good. you should have different stages on the trails, pre-runner friendly, pre runner with the locker friendly, and then all the way up tp crazy rock crawlers... i think you have potential here. I would not mind a 20 dollar all day fee for the whole day of wheeling. Even if you get a minimum of 50 trucks a weekend, that’s a 1000 for a weekend giving you 4k a month approx.

I've been working nights and haven't talked to my land owner in a few days. But, we're gonna be talking about it in a few days. I wanted to see what kind of response I would get on here. Now I can let him know how great of an idea it is!

It's not gonna work out. The land I was trying to use is used for cattle. High dollar Red Brahmans show cattle. So, the insurance would be outragous because of the liability of the cattle. I tried looking at several different options. Sorry guys, it's a no go
