    if im right you have the 8.4 clamshell where as his old would've been the 8 because his is the OR so im guessing not?

    i believe that all tacoma trims use the 8.4'' diff, with the exception of the off road, with an 8'' diff. if true, the answer is no.

    This is another one of those questions I don't know the answer to, yes the SR5/Sport rear diff is 8.4" compared to the O/R 8" but I've read that the R&P are the same size no matter what diff you are in.
