I really don't think MPG would improve, I think it would stay the same actually. You use less power to get up to speed but at the same time you are using more RPMs, especially on long highway trips.

with 33s (or really a taller tire in general) going uphill or even against a strong back wind the transmission will downshift frequently, hasn't done that one time to me yet. I cross the Fred Hartman bridge twice a day (to and from work) and each time I start the ascent it would downshift right at the bottom, still has yet to downshift and I can go up either way anywhere from 60-70 mph. I even tried to get it to downshift, I was cruising up the bridge going 60, and pressed the gas pedal slightly to see if I can get up to 70 without downshifting, bam, worked like a charm, worth every penny.

Lack of power I would say. Although you don't really gain any power from regearing, you just run at higher rpms, when you give it gas it doesn't downshift nearly as much to get back up to speed.

i dont remember stock but i wouldnt mind having to not downshift but i think 4.10's would be better for my uses. especially since i dont wanna see 14mpg:eek:
