just got a call from my girlfriend's sister and brother-in-law. they're going to across the country, stopping at all of the MLB stadiums to see games. they're inj town and taking me to the Astros/TB Rays game on tuesday night. Is there anywhere to park near minutemaid that has a garage with more than 6' of clearance? I took a chunk of concrete out of the celing of a parking garage 2 weeks ago, so i'm temporarily in "overly cautious mode".

 

Lol there is a lot right behind the stadium. But!!! A lot of cars get broken intonth there

There's plenty of open lots with in walking distance.

 

Its kinda the main packing, but there is street parking and other lots you will see people trying to flag you into

 

I usually go to a dozen or so disAstros games a season (I'm a glutton for pain) and I've always parked in one of the open lots or along the street. Never had a problem. Then again, I've always arrived early enough to park as close to the stadium as possible, so that may have something to do with it. There always seems to be increased police presence the closer to you get to the Juice Box.

 

it's 7:10 game, I get off work at 5, so i won't be there until a little before 6. so not too early.

 

The availability of good parking closer to game time is inversely proportional to how well the Astros are doing.

 

ah, so knowing nothing about the astros, but taking your statement and the general buzz around the office into account, i get the feeling i'll be able to park just fine lol
